RATION CARD MUSTERING, DON'T FORGET THESE THINGS..

EKYC ration mustering is to secure biometric information by swiping your finger on the EPOS machine at ration shops.  Mustering is to prove that the ration recipients are alive and that the members are entitled to receive ration shares.  Blue and white ration card members do not need to participate in ration card mustering. Yellow and pink ration cards must be mustered.

All members of the ration card must be fingerprinted.  Children below the age of five who have to undergo mustering will not be deprived of their ration.  Meanwhile, mustering is mandatory for children above 5 years of age.  If their Aadhaar is not updated, the mustering will fail.  So check if Aadhaar is updated.

All those working abroad or absent from the country must do mustering.  If that is not possible then nrk should be written against their name in the ration card.  Then their ration will be suspended.  Later, when you come back to the country and get settled, you can skip the NRK and buy the ration share.

Mustering has been temporarily stopped till March 10.  On March 15, 16 and 17, facilities will be provided in public areas near ration shops.  Consider schools, Anganwadis, cultural centers etc.
