Delhi Hospital fire broke, owner of the hospital, Dr. Naveen Kichi arrested. Naveen Kichi was absconding after the tragedy. Seven newborn babies died in the fire. Naveen is being interrogated by the police. The police have decided to file a case under section 304 against the accused.
Naveen also owns other childcare centers. Delhi Police has filed an FIR against him under Sections 336, 304A and 34 of the IPC. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has directed Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to conduct an inquiry into the fire.
Expressing grief over the tragedy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X that the fire tragedy is heartbreaking and may the injured get well soon. In the wake of the fire, the Prime Minister announced a relief fund of Rs.1000 each. The families of the deceased children will be given Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. 50,000 will be given to each of the injured.
A fire broke out in a hospital in East Delhi last night. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
