HEAVY RAIN ALERT FOR KERALA

The Central Meteorological Department has informed that widespread rain is likely in the state in the coming hours.  Monsoon trough is currently located south of its normal position.  A coastal low pressure area is prevailing from south Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast.


 A cyclone is located in the center of the West Bay of Bengal and another cyclone is located over the Andaman Sea.  As a result of this effect, there is a possibility of widespread rains in Kerala for the next 5 days, heavy rains at isolated places and heavy rains at some places on July 4 and 5, according to the notification of the Central Meteorological Department.
