Cooking gas cylinder price hiked. Commercial cylinder price increased by Rs.39. With the price hike, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has increased to Rs 1691.50 in Delhi.
The new price is effective from today. Last July 1, oil companies had reduced the commercial cylinder price by Rs. 803 in Delhi for 14 kg domestic cooking gas unchanged in price. The current price is Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.5 in Mumbai and Rs 918.5 in Chennai.
Price fluctuations are caused by international oil prices, tax policies, demand-supply changes, etc., and the pricing practices of oil companies. However, the real reason for the current price hike is not clear.
