The Jacobite Church supported the LDF in the Lok Sabha elections. The leadership of the church called on those who helped the church in its crises to return their help. The position was clarified in the message given by Malankara Metropolitan Joseph Gregorius to the faithful. The stand of Malankara Metropolitan is pointing out the Chief Minister's speech. Joseph Gregorius says that the Chief Minister's announcement gives hope.
The Chief Minister's speech was to protect the Jacobite Church. By pointing this out, indirect support to LDF has been announced in the Lok Sabha elections. The Jacobite Church had taken a similar stand in the last assembly elections as well.
