Today is the last day to exchange Rs 2000 currency. 2000 rupee notes can be exchanged from banks.
A person can exchange a maximum of ten notes at a time. On May 19, RBI announced withdrawal of Rs 2000 currency. On May 19, the RBI had recalled the Rs 2,000 notes introduced after the 2016 demonetisation. A period of four months was also allowed to exchange the withdrawn notes. That four-month period ends today.
