Police stopped Rahul Gandhi's motorcade on his visit to Manipur where there is a communal riot. Rahul was stopped by Manipur police at Bishnupur. This action of the police was after passing 25 km from the airport.
Rahul Gandhi arrived in Manipur this morning for a two-day visit. Even when Rahul came, conflict was brewing in Manipur. Officials said there were no casualties in the early morning firing in Kangpokpi district.
AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal announced the program of Rahul's two-day visit. KC Venugopal said that Manipur has been burning for almost two months and this is a humanitarian disaster. KC Venugopal added that it is our responsibility to be the power of love and not hatred.
