Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey has revealed that the central government pressured Twitter during the farmers' strike in India. He revealed that the government pressured them to freeze the Twitter accounts of those associated with and supporting the farmers' strike. He said that if the accounts were not frozen, the central government threatened to lock Twitter in India and raid the employees' homes. Dorsey said that such incidents are happening in a democratic country like India.
Dorsey said this in an interview given to a YouTube channel. He was replying to a question whether he had to face any kind of difficulties from foreign countries or other governments. The Center demanded that the accounts of journalists be frozen.
